Ernest Strickland Jr.

Ernest Strickland, 55 of Canton passed away quietly Friday August 30, 2019 after an extended illness. A devout Bahai, Ernest will be laid to rest in the Bahai Garden at Macedonia Memorial Park.

Ernest is predeceased by his brother Lonnie. He is survived by his parents Ernest and Shelby Strickland, four sisters, Carolottia Strickland, Kheene Russell, Norma Jones, and Sarada Elrod. He is also survived by a nephew Lorenza Pettway.

Ernest spend many years working at Northside Cherokee Hospital but most recently had worked at the Cherokee Training Center helping children with special needs.

A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday August 31, 2019 at 2:00pm at Macedonia Memorial Park.
