Eiryn Mason

Eiryn JaVod Mason, age 25, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019.  Eiryn, known as a tech nerd, was also a very accomplished drummer and was percussion captain for Cherokee High School. He went on to be the band camp drumline teacher for both Sequoyah and Cherokee High Schools.  He is the son of the late Donald Mason and Leslie Mason. Eiryn leaves three brothers, Dontavious, William and Nicholas Mason, aunts Mary Strain, Gloria Beasley (Eric), and Patricia Matthew, uncles Ricky (Annie) and Brian Hurley (Stephanie), Clarence Mason (Shirley), Ivan Mason (Janice) and grandmother Ossie Hurley.  His cousins, Jamiel and Shunkelia Strain, Hassan Omar, Jr. (Sabrina) and Rhashaan Omar, Akeem, Marquiste and Aaron Mason and many other cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 15th from 4pm-8pm at Canton Funeral Home.

A funeral service will begin at 1pm Saturday, March 16th in the chapel of Canton Funeral Home and a graveside to immediately follow in the cemetery at Macedonia Memorial Park.
