Margarete Pfaff

May 29, 1932 — July 27, 2022

Alpharetta

Margarete (Marge) Pfaff, 90, of Alpharetta died peacefully with her family at her side on July 27, 2022.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Marge was preceded in death by her;
brother, Rudolph Steitz of Germany; daughter, Caroline Solarski of Alpharetta, GA. She is survived by her
loving husband of 62 years, Joe; daughter, Annette Overman of Lake Zurich, IL; son-in-law, Ralph Solarski
of Alpharetta, GA; 4 grandchildren: Mark (Melissa), Kevin, Andrea, Julia (Sean) and great grandson,
Oliver.

Marge was born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia, on May 29, 1932. She was the first child, an only daughter, of
Ursula and Stefan Steitz. She immigrated to the United States in 1956 and married the love of her life,
Joe, in 1959. They initially lived in Chicago, Illinois where they started their family. They then moved to a
nearby suburb, Arlington Heights, where they lived for 35 years before moving to Alpharetta, GA.
Marge was a natural homemaker. Her love language was serving her family delicious meals and baking
amazing treats for them. She loved to clean and was known as being so neat and clean you could eat off
her floors! Her family was her “pride and joy”. Marge also loved nature, had a green thumb, and a soft
spot for furry and feathered animals. She lived a full life traveling domestically and abroad. Her favorite
trip was to Israel, the “Holy Land”, visiting sites where her savior, Jesus, walked. She used every
opportunity to share her faith, bible verses and her love of the Lord.

Because of the free gift of salvation through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (John 3:16, Ephesians 2:8-9)
we can know it's not goodbye, but see you later - and we look forward to seeing her again.
The family will be celebrating Marge’s life in a private graveside service on Saturday, July 30, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to support the mission work of her granddaughter,
Julia, and her husband Pastor Sean Duncan, who have started a church in Porac, Philippines. Donations
